Changlang Catholic Convention 2012
Changlang Catholic Convention 2012 got under way on 3rd May 2012 at Old Plon village near Namphai. Nearly 800 people participated in it. The central theme of the convention was "Be renewed in the Spirit" (Eph.4,23). The preachers from different parts of India did a marvellous job. A great many people experienced the healing touch of the Lord Jesus. On 5th May evening after the holy Mass there was a candle lit Eucharistic procession in which nearly a thousand people participated. It was concluded on 6th May morning with the Holy Eucharist presided over by His Lordship, Bishop George Pallipparambil. People of other faiths also participated and went home experiencing the mercy of God. It was a grand success. God was extremely good by providing an excellent weather during the days of the convention. Praise the Lord Jesus!

Catechists Training cum Retreat Programme Organized
A Catechists training cum retreat programme was conducted for all the catechists of the Diocese of Miao under the direction of Fr.Shaji Valiaparampil, the coordinator of the Catechetical commission of the diocese. It was held at Newman School, Neotan from 24th April to 29th April 2012. Fr. Terrance D'Souza was the main animator. More than 160 Catechists participated in it. At the end of the meeting all them received an identity card issued by the Bishop George Pallipparambil.

New Bishop's House Foundation Stone Laid
On 25th April, on the feast of St. Mark the foundation stone of the new Bishop's House was blessed and laid by Bishop George Pallipparambil in the presence of Bishop Joseph Aind and 150 catechists from Tirap, Longding, Changlang and Lohit Districts of the Diocese of Miao. The Catechists are having the animation programme for them in Neoton by Fr. Terrance D'Souza.

New Church Blessing at Deomali
The Deomali church blessing took place on 23rd April on the feast of St. George. It was blessed by Bishop George in the presence of Bishop Joseph Aind, the local MLA, and a number of VIPs, 30 priests, great number of Sisters, and lay faithful. It was a colourful function. The Church was dedicated to St. George.
